Rufus "Pike" Randolph of Tampa, Florida


The winning ticket was sold by Tampa West Latin Rotary Club member Frank Irizarry.

We congratulate Pike as he and a lucky companion will be attending the 2010 NFL Championship Game to be held at Dolphins Stadium in Miami, FL on February 7, 2010. Along with two tickets to the big game they will enjoy four nights lodging at the beautiful Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek in Ft Lauderdale and $1000.00 in spending money.

Although Pike was the Grand Prize winner, our club congratulates all of the many people who generously supported our seventh annual fundraiser. You are all winners in our eyes! Your gracious donations support the following projects we sponsor:

 

  • A scholarship for an outstanding student with financial need at USF
  • The Children's Home
  • Rotary's Gift of Life-providing no cost life saving heart surgery for children from developing countries
  • The Spring-local domstic abuse shelter
  • CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), a local domestic abuse shelter
  • Salvation Army
  • Rotary Literacy Project-Dictionaries for all local fifth grade student
  • Annually we sponsor a toy drive for dozens of area needy families
  • Hurricane relief for Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana
  • Rotary Camp Florida- a Rotary owned camp for handicapped and terminally ill children
  • Rotary Group Study Exchange- a cultural exchange of young professionals who travel to and from foreign countries to understand and communicate the their country's cultural, social and ethnic differences
  • Rotary's Flagship Project-Polio Plus, whose goal is to eradicate polio from the Earth
  • We have contributed funds for the creation of pace maker bank for indigent children in Colombia
  • Partnered with Rotary clubs in FL and Central America to rebuild and provide potable water to a school in the Caribbean
